My name is Janne Siegel, and my three dogs (my “Girls”) would say I am an energetic, borderline-neurotic multi-tasker who is annoyingly slow when it comes time to make dinner and go on runs, but really nice overall.
I am an attorney-turned-journalist, currently completing my Master’s in New Media Journalism from Full Sail University. I majored in journalism in college and decided to go to law school post-graduation. I practiced law for about 20 years, but always had a passion for writing and journalism. So, I decided to take a hiatus from my law practice and delve into my journalism career.

As a journalist, I think every person has a story to tell, a philosophy of life to share and advice to give. I have the pleasure of meeting, talking, and listening to a variety of people from all walks of life. It is such a privilege to hear the diverse experiences of those in my community and to be a part of their lives for a brief period. I think that is my favorite part of being a journalist. I am so grateful to everyone who kindly shares their time and experiences with me, and so lucky to have the opportunity to tell those stories.
When I am not writing and reporting, I practice and teach yoga and run with the Girls. I love to cook (though I am not much into grocery shopping) and pretty much participate in all activities Steamboat offers in each season.

I believe it takes 21 days to establish a new habit. I am too scared to watch a horror movie. And, I firmly believe in retail therapy.
